Sasol Real Estate Services, based in Johannesburg, oversees facilities management for thousands of properties across Sasol’s global operations and needed to replace fragmented manual processes, spreadsheets and forms with a single facilities-focused system. After finding most solutions were IT-centric, Sasol selected Ivanti’s Ivanti Service Manager to provide the flexibility and configurability required to manage building faults, maintenance, asset tracking and service requests across its estate.
Ivanti implemented Service Manager modules including Service Catalog, Incident Management, Problem Management, Self-Service and preventative maintenance workflows, plus an asset-viewer extension configured with partner Blue Turtle. The result: Ivanti enabled Sasol to scale from a single helpdesk to managing 6,000 properties, automate scheduling and inspections, shift to proactive preventive maintenance, and achieve over a 90% reduction in backend manual processes—improving response times, asset lifecycle decisions and overall service delivery.
