A Ivanti Case Study
The Province of Groningen, a Dutch provincial government with about 1,300 employees, faced lengthy, error-prone onboarding, change and offboarding processes driven by an outdated, custom “Data Warehouse” system. After engaging consultancy partner IT‑Value, they evaluated several options and selected Ivanti—building on existing Ivanti Automation and Ivanti workspace usage—to replace manual account, mailbox and Active Directory tasks with Ivanti Identity Director.
Ivanti implemented Ivanti Identity Director integrated with the HR system and Ivanti Automation to automate account creation, mailbox and password provisioning, and change checks. The result: automatic onboarding now runs twice daily (instead of once), supports all 1,300 staff, speeds new-employee productivity, enables automatic revocation of access at termination, and reduces helpdesk manual checks—freeing IT to focus on end users while improving security and process transparency.
