PWN Achieves Watertight Security of Endpoints and Applications

PWN, the Dutch water company serving 1.5 million people, needed to harden endpoint security across its 800 Windows desktops while preserving user productivity. Building on prior experience with Ivanti, PWN selected Ivanti DesktopNow to add defined user-privilege controls and granular application checks on top of existing firewalls and antivirus protections.

Ivanti deployed DesktopNow via a two-month POC on 25 endpoints to migrate users from Windows XP to Windows 7 by seamlessly moving files, settings and personalization, then enabled Fujitsu to roll out the remaining 780 users in batches. Ivanti’s four-tier privilege policy and application whitelisting/blocking prevented execution of unauthorized code, delivered controlled privilege management for 800 endpoints, simplified OS migrations, and provided secure access to applications outside the PWN network—measurably reducing malware risk and administrative effort.
