A Ivanti Case Study
Couche-Tard, a global convenience retail chain operating more than 2,000 stores and with a single distribution center in Laval serving 650 Quebec stores, needed to speed up and improve accuracy in its warehouse picking. The company had already deployed Zebra wearable mobile computers connected via Ivanti Terminal Emulation, but pickers still had to look at screens and press buttons; Couche-Tard sought a hands‑free, low‑cost voice layer that would integrate seamlessly with its existing WMS and devices. Ivanti (Speakeasy) was chosen to meet that need.
Ivanti deployed Ivanti Speakeasy (powered by Wavelink) on the existing Zebra wearables, converting on-screen instructions to speech and enabling voice input without adding servers or changing the WMS. The solution delivered a 22% uplift in average picking productivity (from roughly 110 to 135 picks/hour, with a super‑user increasing from 135 to 160), achieved a 99.82% pick accuracy rate, drove rapid user adoption, and integrated seamlessly with existing warehouse technology; earlier wearable adoption also reduced label costs by $36,000/year.
