Ivanti Helps Auto Trader Make the Most of an Infrastructure Upgrade

Auto Trader, a fully digital automotive marketplace, consolidated 17 offices and rebuilt its IT estate when relocating to Manchester. Facing tangled group policies and 2,500-line logon scripts that caused logons of five to eight minutes and slow change turnaround, Auto Trader engaged Ivanti and its User Workspace Manager to simplify desktop configuration and improve end-user performance.

Ivanti centralized configuration, removed logon scripts, and provided a wizard-driven management layer so changes that once took days or weeks now deploy in seconds. As a result, Auto Trader cut logon times to about 35 seconds, reduced desktop recovery from a full day to roughly 30 seconds, enabled PCI-compliant browser controls, and improved hosted-desktop stability and operational efficiency.
