Hyundai MOBIS, which manages after-sales parts distribution for Hyundai and Kia, faced aging, end-of-life Windows-embedded handhelds and needed to modernize its warehouse interface without changing its backend warehouse management system. To address high-volume picking (6,000–7,000 line items daily) and improve accuracy and throughput, Hyundai MOBIS engaged Ivanti and adopted Ivanti Velocity, Ivanti Speakeasy and the Ivanti Rapid Platform.
Ivanti implemented a multi-modal solution on Zebra WT6000 devices—using Velocity for touch and barcode workflows, Speakeasy for future voice-directed picking, and Ivanti Rapid Modernization tools to convert more than 500 legacy telnet screens—while training MOBIS IT to make rapid UI changes. The Ivanti-led solution delivered a 15% productivity increase and a 39% reduction in errors, sped picking without sacrificing accuracy, future-proofed voice-enabled automation, and required no changes to Hyundai MOBIS’s backend system.
