A Ivanti Case Study
Goya Foods, America’s largest Hispanic‑owned food company, faced slow, error‑prone and safety‑risking paper‑based picking as it implemented a new WMS at its Prince George, VA test site. To modernize picking workflows and keep workers’ eyes forward, Goya turned to Ivanti, deploying Ivanti Velocity and Ivanti Speakeasy (part of the Ivanti Wavelink family) to replace paper lists with voice‑directed handheld workflows.
Ivanti supported a quick rollout and simple user training so pickers could use any Motorola WT4090 device, choose English or Spanish, and start within minutes; Goya staff can also make their own script/screen changes without costly consultants. The Ivanti solution produced measurable results—5–7% faster picking, mispicks cut from about 40–60 per night to nearly zero, no recorded accidents since implementation, faster user adoption and tens of thousands saved in IT/consulting costs—allowing Goya to expand the solution to other plants.
