Aviall, a Dallas-based distributor of aviation parts and a subsidiary of Boeing, needed faster, more reliable device management to ensure timely, accurate picking and dispatch from its global warehouses. Although Aviall already used Intermec handheld scanners, provisioning and updates were manual and time-consuming (taking up to 45 minutes per device), so Aviall engaged integrator Futura and selected Ivanti’s enterprise mobility tools, including Ivanti Avalanche (powered by Wavelink) and Ivanti Terminal Emulation.

Ivanti deployed Avalanche to centrally image, configure, update and manage Aviall’s scanners, improving device reliability and enabling cold boots and automated rollouts. As a result, Ivanti reduced device configuration time by more than 75% (from ~45 minutes to ~10 minutes), allowed per-worker scanner deployment, and helped warehouse teams process up to 67% more orders per day—boosting productivity and supporting growth without added headcount.
