Adding ITAM to Its ITSM Platform Improves Service Delivery While Optimizing Assets

The City of Seattle needed to replace siloed IT teams, disconnected processes, and fragmented asset data after consolidating into one department serving more than 50 city departments. The city also had to improve cybersecurity, service delivery, and asset management across tens of thousands of workstations, servers, applications, and databases, and turned to Ivanti Neurons for ITSM and Ivanti Neurons for ITAM to help.

Ivanti implemented standardized workflows, centralized asset repositories, and automated tracking and reporting with Ivanti Neurons for ITSM, Ivanti Neurons for ITAM, and Ivanti Xtraction. The City of Seattle loaded 42,200 records into the Workstation CMDB, enabled full asset lifecycle management, improved accountability and reporting, and saw better operational maturity and service team advocacy, even as service desk call volumes rose more than 3,000% during COVID-19 with the new system helping maintain resilience.
