Case Study: Covéa Insurance achieves unified, standardized procurement and supplier visibility with Ivalua

A Ivalua Case Study

Preview of the Covéa Insurance Case Study

Single Unified Platform across a decentralized Procurement Organisation with Covea

Covéa, a leading French insurance group made up of MAAF, MMA and GMF (26,000 employees, €16.3B revenue in 2016 and operations in seven countries), faced a decentralized procurement organization with limited supplier insight and no central contract database. To meet Solvency II compliance and improve spend control, the company needed to standardize processes, increase visibility across business units, and strengthen supplier verification—starting from only fragmented knowledge of its supplier base.

Covéa implemented a single unified procurement platform covering supplier management, sourcing, contract management, procurement, invoicing and analytics, creating a common supplier and contract repository and standardized workflows. The rollout onboarded 31,100 suppliers, enabled 2,150 users, delivered 1,114 supplier evaluations, and supports 18,000 purchase requests per year; it improved collaboration across locations, reduced purchasing cycle times, and established a sustainable, compliance‑ready procurement capability now exploring AI for future gains.
