Petroineos, the INEOS–PETROCHINA joint‑venture and leading independent European refiner (Grangemouth and Lavera, processing ~420,000 bpd), faced fragmented supplier data and inefficient tendering with no dedicated procurement tools. As it reorganized purchasing into 42 categories across three markets to drive Industry 4.0 efficiency, the LAVENDOR project selected Ivalua for its usability and configurability to centralize supplier management and support category‑based strategies.

Ivalua’s Source‑to‑Contract deployment centralized documents and certifications, automated supplier qualification and validation workflows, standardized RFx and evaluation grids, and provided contract lifecycle, dispute tracking and reporting capabilities—enabling 90% of purchasing projects to be managed in the platform. Outcomes include stronger supplier knowledge and compliance, harmonized processes, improved stakeholder collaboration, time savings for buyers and more strategic category management across €336M annual spend and 4,000 active suppliers.
