A Ivalua Case Study
Ivalua partnered with the State of Maryland to modernize eMaryland Marketplace Advantage (eMMA) after the state’s legacy procurement was fragmented, manual, and poorly integrated across 70 agencies managing $7B in spend. The program faced complex processes, limited system integration, and significant change-management challenges across a large and diverse user base.
Using Ivalua’s source-to-pay platform—including public portal, supplier management, sourcing, contract management, procurement, invoicing, and analytics—the state launched a single integrated system in 4.5 months. The rollout onboarded 12,000 vendors, trained 2,200 users, delivered real-time visibility and auditability, reduced supply-chain risk through automation, and improved supplier and user satisfaction.
