Maumee City Schools - Customer Case Study

Maumee City Schools, a 2,400-student Ohio district, was struggling with unreliable wireless performance as its 1:1 Chromebook initiative, student smartphones, and wearables pushed the network beyond capacity. ITsavvy helped the district evaluate its options, with Aruba access points and Aruba AirWave Network Operations Manager identified as the right fit for the district’s demanding classroom and testing environment.

ITsavvy and Aruba deployed a district-wide wireless refresh, beginning with a year-long pilot and then expanding to 130 additional access points across the schools. The result was faster, more reliable connectivity, centralized monitoring and troubleshooting, and better support for online testing; the district also reported saving several hours each day that had previously been spent fixing Wi-Fi issues, while gaining room to grow and improved E-Rate-supported cost savings.
