Trinity Mirror PLC, one of the UK’s largest multimedia publishers with five national and 140 regional newspapers and over 400 websites, needed to consolidate several Nagios Core monitoring installations into a single coherent system. Their core requirements were a single master view with multiple collectors across datacentres, easier configuration management, and long-term storage of historical trend data.

Opsview migrated Trinity Mirror’s existing Nagios Core servers to an Opsview Enterprise platform, reusing current monitoring agents to minimize disruption and implementation effort. The result was a unified monitoring system with improved configuration management, long-term trend retention, reduced operational overhead, higher operations-team efficiency and enhanced service levels, backed by ongoing support.
