Opsview improves service levels for UKCloud's customers and delivers dramatic savings in support team costs

UKCloud, a UK sovereign multi‑cloud provider for the public sector, needed a secure, multi‑tenant on‑prem monitoring solution to gain a holistic view across 80+ technologies and thousands of endpoints. Their legacy platform required extensive bespoke scripting, missed incidents and consumed much of the CloudOps team’s time, so they sought an out‑of‑the‑box, scalable, operator‑friendly solution that would improve observability, reliability and security.

After a successful proof of concept, UKCloud deployed Opsview Monitor across its estate to provide a single pane of glass, broad out‑of‑the‑box coverage, CMDB integration and automated workflows (eg. SSL renewal alerts). The result was faster, more reliable incident detection, a fourfold increase in monitoring data, local support, and saved ~30 support hours per month—reducing monitoring maintenance from about 60% to 10% of team time—freeing staff to improve services and onboard customers without adding headcount.
