Aurubis AG, Europe’s largest integrated copper producer and recycler with revenues above €6 billion and operations across seven countries, needed a central, company-wide monitoring solution to standardize IT key performance indicators (KPIs) across subsidiaries. Their goal was a single, comparable view of reported data to evaluate IT performance, supplier targets and staff-related metrics across a distributed infrastructure.

Aurubis deployed Opsview Enterprise with Inmedias to deliver a metrics dashboard and single web interface that incorporated historical Nagios data and consolidated monitoring for roughly 300 servers and 800 services across 16 sites. The rollout delivered prompt KPI reporting, broader and more transparent reporting for non-IT users, and a customizable, routine monitoring process that improved capacity use and made optimization needs easier to identify.
