Active Network is a worldwide leader in the activity and participant management industry. Managing one of the largest events networks with a global infrastructure of six data centers, multiple PCI zones, and nearly 3000 hosts, Active Network needed an extremely extendable, scalable and easy to use solution for their infrastructure platform. Previously they employed a myriad of different monitoring tools that caused headaches; consolidation into one system was a major concern and their prior solution required considerable time, energy and large servers to run effectively.

Active Network implemented Opsview because of its uncomplicated implementation process and the completeness of the product—everything in one system and one single pane of glass. Features like the Test Button, a distributed architecture using slaves and clustering, and Business Service Monitoring (BSM) improved implementation, sped root-cause detection, enabled proactive 24/7 monitoring, reduced costs, and made Opsview the central monitoring system for Active Network.
