Summer Infants, a producer of baby care products since 1985, wanted to add smart connectivity to its lineup and create an autonomous IoT ecosystem for infant monitoring and care. The company turned to Itransition for R&D, IoT system architecting, prototyping, and guidance across hardware, firmware, backend, and mobile app integration.

Itransition designed the end-to-end IoT architecture, selected a centralized mesh network approach, and helped build smart prototypes including a changing pad and bottle maker managed through Android apps. Itransition also supported backend development and code review for a video-streaming baby monitor, delivering a roadmap, hardware specs, and working prototypes that enabled real-time biometrics tracking, remote access, and reliable wireless connectivity.
