Independent Registered Housing Association - Customer Case Study

The Independent Registered Housing Association, a UK non-profit housing provider managing thousands of homes, needed a modern intranet for employees to access documents, company news, events, and Office 365 and external systems from mobile devices. It also needed integration between its on-premises Active Directory and Azure AD/SharePoint Online, with single sign-on and role-based access for about 200 users. Itransition delivered the project using Office 365 and SharePoint Framework (SPFx).

Itransition implemented a customized intranet portal with mobile support, branding, news, employee directory, document management, corporate calendar, and other collaboration features, while also automating tasks like documentation storage and notifications. The solution integrated AD with Office 365, enabled SSO, and was tested thoroughly, with 155 hours of testing uncovering 85 defects that were fixed. As a result, the association gained a convenient, secure intranet that improved internal communication and streamlined access to tools and information, and Itransition delivered it on time despite technical challenges.
