TELUS International, a global provider of customer experience and digital services, needed a fast way to keep nearly 50,000 team members safe while enabling secure remote access to the Windows desktops, voice apps, and data required to support clients during the COVID-19 outbreak. Using itopia on Google Cloud, TELUS International provisioned secure virtual workstations for nearly 1,500 team members in less than 24 hours, instead of taking months to build the environment manually. The solution delivered fully equipped Windows desktops, access to business applications and corporate data, and reduced downtime so service could continue uninterrupted. TELUS International also began offering managed virtual desktops to its own clients using the itopia platform.
