Lear Corporation, a global automotive technology leader in seating and e-systems, wanted a more systematic way to scan and monitor emerging technologies, weak signals, and blind spots while improving strategic alignment and innovation collaboration across its business units. To support Lear Innovation Ventures, ITONICS provided an AI-enabled platform for trend and technology management, helping the team accelerate its foresight and innovation culture.

Using ITONICS’ Insights module and Radar views, Lear built an AI-powered process for scouting, evaluating, and processing signals from high-volume sources such as news, academic research, and patents. The platform helped Lear evaluate 118 trends, 108 technologies, and more than 3,700 weak signals, ultimately identifying 12 key trends and technologies, improving transparency, and enabling more data-driven decision making and business future-proofing.
