KSB, a leading supplier of pumps, valves, and related systems, needed to break down internal knowledge silos and move from a local, manual idea process to a more transparent, global innovation approach. The company wanted a digital platform that could connect employees worldwide, improve idea management, and extend into innovation management with better visibility into trends and technologies. ITONICS provided the iport innovation platform to support this transformation.
ITONICS digitalized KSB’s idea management and expanded the platform with corporate foresight and competitor analysis, creating a single digital backbone for idea, trend, and technology management. The result was a company-wide network with 7,043 active users, more than 1,100 submitted ideas, 16 participating locations, and over 60% less processing time for ideas compared with 2017. ITONICS also helped KSB improve knowledge sharing, cross-department collaboration, and strategic innovation planning, with the platform set to roll out to all 15,000 employees and eventually support open innovation with external partners.
