Cisco, a global leader in IT and networking, wanted to speed up technology foresight to keep pace with rapid technological change, huge data volumes, and a worldwide scouting community. The company needed a better way to structure, evaluate, and visualize emerging technologies and trends, and chose ITONICS Radar to digitize and optimize its existing methodology.
ITONICS implemented the Cisco Technology Radar as a collaborative platform supporting identification, selection, assessment, and dissemination of technologies. More than 150 scouts worldwide have submitted over 400 entries, and Cisco now tracks 200+ technologies, 20+ trends, and 300+ companies. The solution became Cisco’s “go-to space” for technology management, accelerated early identification of opportunities and threats, and fed quarterly reports and innovation programs such as the Innovate Everywhere Challenge.
