Enabling Capgemini to deliver collaborative and cost-effective pension administration

Capgemini, an IT consulting company, was tasked with building a complete pension administration organization for a large Dutch pension fund. A key challenge was developing a highly reliable, cost-effective system for generating a massive volume of legally-mandated letters for 1.5 million participants. They needed a solution that supported multiple languages and allowed business users to easily manage hundreds of document templates without errors.

The vendor iText provided its collaborative document solution, iText DITO. This enabled business and IT teams to work in parallel to design and integrate data-driven templates. The REST API was easily integrated into Capgemini's Azure platform, connecting to their CRM to generate and send letters. As a result, iText DITO efficiently handles hundreds to thousands of letters daily, with a peak of 900,000 in one month, using 296 templates in Dutch and English, ensuring cost-effective and reliable pension administration.
