Autoglass®, a windscreen repair and replacement specialist with 230 French centres and over 700 mobile workshop vehicles, needed a better way to manage 1 million “proof of service” job request files a year. Paper files were moved by courier between centres and head office, creating weak traceability, slow access to documents, a risk of lost files, and disputes with insurers that affected cashflow.
ITESOFT implemented a digitisation and document management solution that scanned files at regional centres, automatically classified and indexed documents, checked file completeness, and integrated records into back-office systems for access by Accounts Receivable and all centres. The result was faster dispute resolution, payments received up to one week earlier, storage costs cut by an estimated 10%, and Accounts Receivable productivity up by 264% as headcount fell from 8 to 3, with automated document identification reaching 90–95% and indexing around 90%.
