Global Manufacturing Company Achieves Zero Trust Networking by Orchestrating IT Service Requests with Itential

Global Manufacturing Company, a manufacturing customer of Itential, needed a faster and more secure way to handle employee onboarding, offboarding, and software deployment across a growing global footprint. Its network services team was overwhelmed by more than 1,600 ServiceNow requests per year and relied on scattered scripts and specialized expertise for tools like Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and InfoBlox, making it difficult to meet SLAs and support zero-trust networking goals.

Itential’s Automation Platform and Automation Gateway were used to orchestrate the software deployment process end to end, integrating with ServiceNow, Microsoft Active Directory, SCCM, ISE, InfoBlox, and PowerShell-based automations. The result was a more scalable self-service workflow that saved 834 manual hours per year, reduced request-to-deployment time from days to minutes, and automated fulfillment of 1,670 ServiceNow tickets in one year, while strengthening zero-trust enforcement and reducing human error.
