The UK retailer Carpetright partnered with ITAB Group to create a new, premium shopping experience called 'the floor room' on a busy London high street. The challenge was to design a smaller format store that would appeal to a new local demographic while retaining loyal customers, requiring a comprehensive and flexible retail solution.

ITAB delivered a co-created solution featuring modular furniture, dynamic digital screens on columns for consumer engagement, and intelligent lighting to establish a boutique atmosphere. The implementation of technology, including service tablets for staff and the use of shoppers' own devices, streamlined operations and personalized the experience. For ITAB, the result was an improved brand perception for Carpetright, a more efficient colleague journey leading to a higher conversion rate, and a greater focus on sustainability through design and reduced material wastage.
