eLaundry - Customer Case Study

eLaundry, an on‑demand CRM laundry service serving consumers and commercial customers in New York City and one of Manhattan’s largest laundries, needed to fully automate scheduling, pricing, order processing and delivery coordination so orders wouldn’t “slip through the cracks.” The owner engaged IT Craft to fix, expand and complete the Laundry Center CRM (initially via a pilot), bringing clarity and scalability to the online ordering and back‑end workflows.

IT Craft implemented a complete business automation solution — a Yii2‑based back end, native Android driver app, Routific and Google Maps route optimization, WebSocket live updates, multiple payment gateways, caching (Redis/Memcached), and reporting/bookkeeping tools — that organizes orders into to‑do lists, optimizes daily pickup/delivery routes, enables real‑time tracking and automates billing. The result: eLaundry can reliably manage orders and maintain tight operational control while handling over 36 million lbs of laundry per year; the project involved about 8 months of development (~8,000 hours) with ongoing support from IT Craft.
