Adorama, a large NYC-based family retailer of photography, imaging and consumer electronics, needed to scale and modernize its ecommerce presence to compete with giants like Amazon. The company moved from a simple in-house system to engage IT Craft’s .NET development services to build a high-performance, secure and responsive online storefront capable of supporting multiple business lines and growing customer demand.

IT Craft delivered a custom ASP.NET ecommerce platform and an expanding dedicated team (from 5 to 54 engineers) to rebuild about 99% of the system, improve page-load speeds, availability, security and mobile responsiveness, and make the site easily extensible. The results include a 54-person team providing 432 working hours per day, a single platform used across Adorama’s businesses, and industry recognition (Adorama ranked #4 among U.S. online stores in 2014), demonstrating improved scalability, performance and customer satisfaction.
