Global Mining Company converts 100% of CloudIO reports to Power BI with IT Convergence

The customer, a global mining company, was running Oracle E-Business Suite with CloudIO for reporting but sought more advanced data visualization capabilities. They wanted to extend their solution to include data warehouse reports and selected Microsoft Power BI as a new tool, presenting a challenge to integrate it with their existing systems. IT Convergence was engaged to address this.

IT Convergence converted the existing CloudIO reports to Power BI Direct Query reports by building a connection from Oracle EBS. They also built a data warehouse using Azure SQL DB and implemented the ETL process with Azure Data Factory. The results were successful, with all reports converted to provide faster real-time reporting, more advanced visualizations, better collaboration, and easier maintenance that reduced the burden on IT staff.
