Aeronautical University speeds PDF analysis with IT Convergence’s RAG PoC for 2,500 employees

A prestigious aeronautical university specializing in aviation and aerospace education faced the challenge of being unable to effectively query or analyze valuable flight and incident data locked within unstructured PDF reports, preventing them from extracting insights. IT Convergence proposed a proof of concept for a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solution to address this.

IT Convergence developed a RAG application using open-source technology, including the Llama 3.1 LLM and a vector database, to create a chat interface for querying the PDF data. The solution enabled the rapid retrieval of information and provided detailed, accurate responses that manual methods could not achieve, saving time and enabling better data-driven decisions from historical reports.
