A iSpring Case Study
CIEL (Centre for Investment Education & Learning) is a specialist provider of technical training for banks and financial services, delivering computer-based modules, instructor-led classes and blended certifications. With a small in-house content team and limited IT resources, CIEL faced long production cycles using tools like Elicitus and Captivate and was suddenly tasked with delivering a large client mandate (~80 courses) quickly; clients were unhappy with slow turnaround and courses that still felt like basic PowerPoint slides.
Switching to iSpring — a PowerPoint-based authoring suite with a robust quiz maker, dialogue simulations and a content library of templates and assets — let CIEL streamline production, cut course development time from about 5–6 weeks to roughly 2 weeks, and reduce costs (three iSpring licenses for the price of one competing license). The new courses are more engaging, have better assessment capabilities, have received positive client feedback, and allowed CIEL to scale delivery while keeping content creation in-house.
