SIMAC Training, Denmark’s leading maritime education institution, needed a way to move from traditional classroom instruction to a blended learning model during COVID-19 while maintaining IMO-compliant standards. The team also wanted an easier way to create and deliver online courses for students and external participants, and they evaluated several options before choosing iSpring.

Using iSpring Suite and iSpring LMS, SIMAC Training quickly converted existing PowerPoint materials into interactive SCORM courses, added quizzes, voice-overs, and videos, and simplified enrollment, tracking, and reporting. With iSpring, SIMAC Training created over 30 online courses, reduced instructor travel and venue costs, improved learner flexibility, and expanded into new international markets such as Africa and the Far East.
