A iSpring Case Study
Learning Nurse, created by Russell Sawchuk of Steppingstones Partnership, is a free informal learning platform for nursing students, practicing nurses, and educators that attracts over 300,000 unique visitors annually. The site’s goal is to make quality nursing education available anywhere, but by 2016 it faced a major technical challenge: maintaining 250 quizzes with more than 12,000 questions. Earlier quiz tools stalled at 50–60 questions and the team needed stable, HTML5-compatible software that worked on mobile devices and offline.
In 2016 Learning Nurse migrated its quizzes to iSpring QuizMaker, a 64‑bit, HTML5-capable tool that handles large exams, media-rich questions, and multiple output options. After a months‑long conversion, the quizzes now run reliably across desktops, tablets, and smartphones (and offline via the iSpring Play app), can send quiz data to the server for tracking, and generate custom completion certificates. The switch eliminated user complaints, supports hundreds of daily completions, and helps Learning Nurse train 250,000+ nursing students annually while serving educators and institutions worldwide.
