The customer, one of the top three supermarket chains in the UK, faced a challenge when HP announced the end-of-life for its Neoview data warehousing platform. The company needed to migrate its large-scale data warehouse, which included up to 0.5 million lines of SQL code across its EDW Batch and reporting tools, to a new platform, Teradata. Vendor Ispirer Systems was brought in, with its SQLWays tool being recommended by HP and approved for the project.

Ispirer Systems provided an annual license for its SQLWays migration tool along with technical support. The solution successfully automated the database migration process, minimizing manual intervention and ensuring consistent converted code. The migration was completed by Ispirer within the expected timeframe and budget, meeting all of the customer's requirements for the target Teradata code.
