Technology Reply led a large database migration for an automotive leader, tasked with moving eight Oracle instances (3 data warehouses and 5 datamarts) — including thousands of tables, views, procedures, functions, external interfaces and ingestion scripts — to Pivotal Greenplum (PostgreSQL). The main challenge was migrating highly complex business logic embedded in Oracle stored procedures and other Oracle-specific features, so Technology Reply engaged Ispirer Systems and its Ispirer MnMTK migration toolkit to tackle the conversion.

Ispirer Systems executed the migration using Ispirer MnMTK plus several bespoke customizations delivered by their technical specialists to handle Oracle-specific code and business logic. The project successfully converted all eight Oracle instances and associated objects to Pivotal Greenplum, completing after one year of work; Ispirer Systems provided timely, accurate adaptations and proved a reliable partner throughout the migration.
