Subsole, headquartered in Santiago, Chile, is one of the country’s largest fruit exporters, with major operations in grapes, citrus, avocados, kiwis, cherries, and pomegranates. To modernize its ERP and retire outdated programming languages and database technology, the company needed to migrate its legacy Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere 9 environment to Microsoft SQL Server 2017. Ispirer Systems was selected to support this database modernization effort.

Ispirer Systems used its migration software to automate much of the conversion work and help build a model database, while Subsole followed a progressive Scrum-based migration strategy to reduce project risk. The project involved around 400,000 lines of code across more than 1,800 SQL objects, and Ispirer Systems delivered the required extensions on time, completing the work within a 3-month deadline. Subsole reported that the automated conversion exceeded expectations and recommended Ispirer Systems for speeding up migration projects and optimizing team resources.
