Governmental Service Provider - Customer Case Study

Ispirer Systems worked with a Governmental Service Provider in the United States, an American public corporation and independent unit of state government. The customer needed to implement PostgreSQL as its enterprise database platform and transfer tables and data across multiple QA and production environments from IBM DB2 LUW to EDB Postgres, using Ispirer Toolkit.

Ispirer Systems analyzed the customer’s source code, supported required updates, and extended the toolkit with custom functionality such as MONTHS_BETWEEN emulation, TABLESPACE conversion, and support for Common Table Expressions in views. Using the customized Ispirer SQLWays Wizard, the project successfully migrated over 300 tables and more than 5 terabytes of data on time, in an automated and repeatable way, with the customer reporting strong satisfaction with the results.
