The customer, a data and market measurement corporation, faced the challenge of migrating its database from Sybase ASE to PostgreSQL before support ended in 2025. The project's large scope, consisting of over 1,500 tables and 360,000 lines of code, required a solution that was both efficient and affordable. Ispirer Systems was chosen to provide its Ispirer Toolkit license to automate this complex migration.

Ispirer Systems implemented its SQLWays Wizard software, which provided an automated migration solution. With some customizations and expert support, the project was completed on time over a six-month period. The result was the successful migration of more than 360,000 lines of code, allowing the customer to lower its risks by moving to a modern, supported database platform.
