The NHS Trusts faced a challenge with their vital Injectable Medicines Guide (IMG), a tool used millions of times weekly for safe drug administration. The aging digital system needed a radical overhaul to be more secure, easier to update, and significantly more usable for nurses working in high-pressure environments across the NHS. Isotoma Limited was selected via a government framework to modernize this critical application.

Isotoma implemented a new system built with React and Django, hosted on AWS, following deep user research conducted in a hospital to understand frontline needs. The solution delivered a clearer interface, a more intuitive editing process, and user-friendly features like printable QR code posters. The new IMG was rolled out seamlessly to all trusts, now reliably delivering over a million pieces of information every month with extremely positive feedback from nurses and administrators.
