A IsoMetrix Case Study

Preview of the De Beers Group Case Study

How De Beers rolled out a global EHS system across 8 sites

De Beers Group, a global diamond miner with operations in Canada, South Africa and Botswana and more than 30,000 employees, needed to standardize Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) and risk processes across eight mines and multiple business units to support its “Building Forever” sustainability strategy. To meet this challenge the company launched “Project Unity” in 2016 and selected IsoMetrix and the IsoMetrix EHS Solution—building on a relationship that dates to the late 1990s—to replace legacy systems, reduce complexity and enable consistent group reporting.

IsoMetrix implemented a phased, configurable global EHS system across eight sites (Botswana, Canada and South Africa), using site-level customization, a “playpen” test environment, dedicated project teams, and tailored training materials to drive adoption. The IsoMetrix solution delivered standardized reporting and simplified risk and action management at group level, reduced change-management impact, and established ongoing governance and review processes—enabling De Beers Group to achieve consolidated EHS reporting across its operations and support its long-term sustainability objectives.
