The Perfume Shop, the UK’s largest fragrance-only retailer with over 200 locations including shop-in-shops within Superdrug, faced the perennial retail challenge of getting the right stock in the right place at the right time—especially critical for the fourth-quarter Christmas peak. Success depends on timely supplier communication, rapid re-forecasting and clear visibility of expected stock levels so the business can react to trends and new launches.

Building on an existing Island Pacific implementation, The Perfume Shop deployed Island Pacific Planning to automate weekly sales and stock intake sheets by supplier brand. The change moved the business from nine manual WSSI plans that took a day to update to 32 automated plans, eliminating manual errors, saving time, improving supplier conversations and strengthening forecasting for new product launches—delivering faster, more informed inventory decisions and better management visibility.
