rue21, a US fast-fashion retailer with more than 1,100 stores, needed to reduce congestion at the cash wrap and improve in-store customer service because the register was the only place to process shipments. Island Pacific deployed SmartStore on iOS mobile devices (Apple iPod Touch with Linea pro scanners), enabling store-to-store transfers, real-time head-office updates and in-transit visibility.
