Case Study: PVH Corp. achieves faster trend insights and smarter inventory management with Island Pacific SmartAnalytics

A Island Pacific Case Study

Preview of the PVH Corp. Case Study

Business Intelligence Helps Global Fashion Empire Stay Ahead Of the Market

PVH Corp., owner of global brands such as Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, operates more than 860 stores worldwide and generated over $8 billion in revenue in 2013. Facing the fast-moving demands of fashion, PVH needed real-time, granular visibility into sales and inventory across multiple Island Pacific systems—data existed but was hard to compare and required IT to produce time-consuming ad hoc reports.

PVH implemented Island Pacific SmartAnalytics, a Microsoft SQL Server–based data warehouse pre-integrated with its merchandising system and surfaced via Excel and mobile interfaces. Integrating 3.5 TB of data from 16 instances and rolling out across the US, Canada, Hong Kong and China, the solution now serves ~400 users, delivers hourly stock-levels and item-level insight, speeds trend identification, reduces markdowns, improves inventory management and empowers merchandisers to create their own reports without IT support.
