The Benevolent Society, Australia’s oldest charity which recently celebrated its 200-year anniversary, needed a way to track conversation about the organisation during the celebrations. With many other groups using the same name, they had to measure who was talking about them, when and where, and filter out irrelevant mentions from similarly named societies.
By consolidating all social media monitoring into one platform and setting up automated daily inbox alerts, the organisation could surface and act on mentions without manual searching. This made timely responses and event promotion possible, helped identify other “Benevolent Societies,” reconnected people with historical ties, expanded reach to new audiences, and created an archived dataset to inform future communications.
