How Willow Biosciences uses Irwin to target and track retail and institutional investors

Willow Biosciences, a Vancouver-based biotechnology company that manufactures plant-derived active pharmaceutical ingredients, needed to better understand and grow its investor base after going public in 2019. Troy Talkkari, VP Corporate Development, required a solution to manage retail and institutional shareholders, clean and integrate NOBO lists, track capital flows, and target new investors — needs addressed by Irwin’s investor relations platform and NOBO/investor surveillance tools.

Irwin delivered updated NOBO lists integrated into Willow’s investor database, a searchable investor database to identify holders in similar companies, and near‑real‑time investor surveillance showing flows into and out of the stock. As a result, Willow Biosciences eliminated manual Excel cleanup, gained timely feedback on marketing effectiveness, improved investor targeting and outreach, and — in Troy’s words — received “multiples more” value than the cost of an annual Irwin subscription.
