Ironscales Secured The Email For A Global Retailer

Orvis, the family-owned retailer headquartered in Vermont with around 100 stores and a major e-commerce presence, faced phishing as its top threat vector amid many untrained and seasonal store employees and no dedicated IT staff in stores. To strengthen email defenses and reduce banner fatigue from legacy controls, Orvis engaged IRONSCALES and deployed IRONSCALES’ AI-driven, self-learning email security platform alongside its phishing simulation and training service.

IRONSCALES was implemented with minimal disruption and inspects all incoming mail, using dynamic warning banners and real-time automated remediation. The vendor’s platform auto-remediated 92.3% of 351 active phishing incidents in a week; in one week IRONSCALES inspected 277,000 emails, flagged 4,000 as suspicious, grouped 372 incidents with only one false positive, and drove the phishing click rate down to 1.5% (false positives <1%). Orvis reports IRONSCALES blocks and resolves over 90% of issues, improved incident management and no infected PCs in the past year.
