Creating the Winning Part Design

Multiple Discipline Technology Group (MDTG) faced a high-pressure challenge: they had one week to produce two complete part designs for a particle accelerator bid to Oakridge National Laboratories. To meet the tight deadline, MDTG used IronCAD’s Design Collaboration Suite to handle the project’s CAD needs.

Using the IronCAD Design Collaboration Suite, MDTG imported standard-format geometry without loss of accuracy and directly modified non-native geometry, cutting significant rework time and speeding conceptual design. IronCAD’s rapid design capabilities enabled MDTG to deliver both required designs within the week, and the result was a contract awarded by Oakridge National Laboratories.
