This allowed Akamai to claim the environmental benefits of renewable power for its operations without managing complex agreements. The results were significant, with the New Jersey facility providing 1,577 MWh of renewable energy per month, contributing to 6% of Akamai's U.S. and 4% of its global electricity load, putting its 50% renewable target firmly within reach.
