ABN Amro Scales Secure Design to 200+ Teams With Iriusrisk to Start Left With Security

ABN AMRO, a large global banking and financial services enterprise, was undergoing a major digital transformation as it moved from private data centers to the cloud. With more than 500 teams involved, the bank needed a scalable way to bring threat modeling into DevOps and help developers “start left” on security. It turned to IriusRisk and its threat modeling platform to replace a manual, security-team-dependent process.

IriusRisk enabled ABN AMRO to implement self-service, collaborative threat modeling with centralized security requirements, shared content libraries, and automated reporting integrated into DevOps workflows. The bank cut the time to create a threat model from 100 hours to 4.5 hours, scaled from 100 to 200 teams using the platform, and reduced the time to reach 100 teams from 1.5 years manually to just 7 months with IriusRisk.
